Anna Crenshaw currently serves as the Assistant Director, Special Emphasis and Outreach within the Benefits Assistance Service, Veterans Benefits Administration, and Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC. Ms. Crenshaw has been with the Department of Veterans Affairs for 15+ years, starting her career in the Atlanta Regional Office in June 2000 as a Veteran Service Representative. During her tenure at the Atlanta Regional Office, Ms. Crenshaw held the position of Senior Veteran Claims Examiner, Rating Veteran Service Representative and Decision Review Officer. In 2009 Ms. Crenshaw relocated to VA Central Office as a Training Specialist where she was part of a team that developed, and created the Rating Veteran Service Training and Decision Review Officers Curriculum and certification. Additionally, she provided ongoing training to field employees. Ms. Crenshaw served in the United States Army for 10+ years and as a military spouse for 27 years. During her 10+ years of active military service she held multiple positions, and completed challenging training, with her most challenging being flight training. However, she notes her Drill Sergeant experience as the most rewarding. After leaving the military in 1994 she obtained her bachelors in Social Work and a Masters in Human Relations. She worked for the Department of Defense from 1994 to 2000 as the Family Advocacy and Exceptional Family Member Program Manager. Currently she resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband CW4 Retired, Dallas R. Crenshaw Sr., and her beloved Bichon Mordecai (Morty).
